The Eight Annual Regent Park Film Festival took place November 3-6, 2010 at the Lord Dufferin Public School, 350 Parliament Street, and continued the festival tradition of opening with “Community Stories” Youth Media Arts Program, and celebrating youth made productions from across Canada and around the world. Young filmmakers will be in attendance, sharing experiences with their Regent Park counterparts.  These films were wligible for the Audience Choice Award for Best Film made by a youth filmmaker which was awarded to Nayani Thiyagarajah for her film Shadeism.  Award-winning Toronto youth filmmaker Elaine Poon (winner at the Toronto Youth Film Festival Award), moderated the youth panel.

The Festival line-up included 15 programs, showcased 53 films from 15 countries, and were selected by amazing programming committees of talented and insightful individuals. Our School matinee programs for grades 1-8 students were screened for 12 Toronto schools.
